HONDURAS: Need Help Sleeping? Watch Video of Nearly Empty Polling Stations in San Pedro Sula 11/29

December 5, 2009

This video is amazing.  This is the best evidence I have seen that the boycott was a HUGE success.

Once again, I must make the comparison with Haiti’s elections that were held last Spring after disqualifying the largest popular party, Lavalas.  The people threatened to boycott and did they ever.  See pics further below of empty polling stations and sleeping poll workers.  The US ambassador, Janet Sanderson, announced the following day that the election was free and fair and suggested that the Haitian government arrest all those advocating the boycott of the elections — sound familiar?  It appears that under 10% of registered voters in Haiti voted in the election.
