VIDEO: The US-Colombian Military Agreement (Faultlines – AL JAZEERA)

Faultlines has put together a video about the recent US agreement with Colombia regarding extensive use of its military bases.  The Faultlines  team was seriously handicapped in its ability to gain access to bases and people, but this tells its own story.  In addition to a few Colombian government officials, Faultlines interviewed a  mother whose son was killed by the Colombian military, a labor union leader, and a young Afro-Colombian.  I fear for all three of them as their interviews were done openly and many people in Colombia have been killed for less.

The video is in two parts.  The first is about 13 minutes and the second is 8 minutes.
